We have a 10 yr old Spotted Saddle Horse and she has had this sweet itch since her very early years. The only thing that we have found that actually works is to stall her at night (she is in a large pasture by day) and keep her sprayed with oil based Pyrhanna Fly spray. It leave a parrafin residue which brushes right off. The bugs are worse it the late Summer and we are careful to make certain we spray her mane at the crest so the bugs don't get in the roots of it. If they do, she will rub out the entire mane in just a few days. The Amigo Flysheets worked well (at $125 each) and she lost a couple during grazing. Economically, the flyspray and nightime stabling has worked best for us.

Hi Fiona, I fell upon your post as am just launching our sarcoid treatment and was looking on the net for peoples stories about sarcoids. I found your post very interesting. Our treatment has been so successful over the last 9 years, I thought I would make it public. As yet though I am still building websites and trying to get the product to market.

If you want to look on my other website www.horsesanddogs.com it will tell you our story behind my horses sarcoids and how it all started. We have treated many horses over the last 9 years and touch wood have never had one sarcoid return in all that time and some have been very bad. Its not a quick fix and can take a few months but we have always gotten there in the end. We use natural ingredients, herbs, vitamins and minerals.

You can always give me a call and I would be glad to help.

This is awesome! It's such a joy to find this sort of page on the internet. Sometimes it's hard to find likeminded people who enjoy this sort of thing. I also love crystal healing. It's pages like this that help spread the light!

I am glad I found this post. It's so nice to see other people opening themselves to the many different methods of working with subtle energies such as crystal healing. While each of us possesses the innate ability to work with energy, I do believe that you have a unique gift! Otherwise you wouldn't have been drawn to such an experience. Your sensitivity and receptivity is a sign that you have a distinct gift for energy healing.
