Part 2 – The Heart Meridian – ‘Fire Element’ flows down the right leg

CTHeartMeridianimageI have been working with ‘Energy Therapies’ for around 10 years now but my fascination with Meridian Therapies is a more recent discovery. How can something that cannot be seen have such an important impact on the overall well-being of your horse?

As a human race we have on the most part forgotten how to connect to our ‘Spiritual Selves’. When you work with the energy of horses, there is something almost sentient about them. They are very ‘spiritual’ animals, with a capacity to teach us many lessons, if we would just take the time to listen.

In this modern world, we are continually rushing from one place to another, have many demands on us from work and family. The next time you visit your horse, take the time to just ‘be’ with them as taught to me my Kathleen Prasad. There should be no expectation from either side, don’t be doing anything, train your busy mind to ‘be’. Let all of the trials of the day disappear, which is not always easy and just ‘be’ there for them. It is the biggest gift you can offer as they truly love this grounded energy.  It is in this ‘grounded space that Meridian Therapies are able to work best. It does not mean that if we cannot see something it does not exist, it just means that we need to be more open minded in expanding the way we think. The beauty of Meridian Therapies is that we can use tapping to get immediate results. If you believe your horse has been abused in the past, try tapping.

I want to be specific in my articles about which tapping point to use in order to unblock which precise Meridian.

I decided to start with the ‘Heart Meridian’ because it is symbolic of love or being heart broken. This is particularly poignant when you consider the amount of times our horses are bought and sold, separated from both human and horse friends and expected to take it in their stride. When a Meridian is continually blocked by anger/grief it will eventually go on to manifest as a physical conditions such as asthma or heart problems. Consider this statement in horse terms; ‘Nowhere is love felt more deeply than in the heart’.

How do I un-block my horses heart Meridian?

The point of my articles is to give you the tools to help your horse effectively and simply.

Firstly connect to the energy of your ‘horse’. Imagine/become your horse, this is key.  Then take your ‘index’ finger and tap rhythmically on the base of your little finger nail. This is the ‘Tapping Point’ for the heart Meridian. You could add a statement such as ‘Your heart will soon be able to feel love’. How long do you tap for? For however long you feel, 1 minute, 5 minutes, 10 minutes? The point is that when you become one with your horse and you will just know.

Horses  love simplicity, less is definitely more. When we add our own ‘ego’ into the mix the waters become murky and less clear. Spend some quiet time after your tapping session to see if anything comes to mind and if it does, use this as the next statement to tap on. Nothing needs to be rushed, just allow the time you have with your horse to be your ‘special’ time together.

A Step further with meditation:

I have written this meditation, which you could use to connect to your horse. Use it if you have been rushing around, as you need to be in a meditative space with your horse, for the best results to happen. You can work with your horse while you are at work, at home or on holiday. Meridian Therapies have no boundaries, they are infinite. You can even use a photograph, a photo on your I phone or computer to connect to the energy of your horse. Don’t be constrained by the thoughts of the ‘body’ but think of the expansion of the ‘soul’

Connecting of Souls

The biggest connection that we can have with our horse is being connected through ‘LOVE’ your horse can be with you nearby or in another room, place or even different country.

Either stand or sit, make sure that you feel comfortable and, relaxed. Take 7 deep breaths and let the breaths out gradually. Fill your ‘Soul’ with all of the things that you love about your horse; their personality, the enduring love you both have, the memories you have shared and the journeys you have both travelled. Feel this loving energy bursting from your whole being and let it expand out to your horse, your horse may expand affectionate energy out to you but that is their choice. Stand or sit in this energy for 10 – 15 minutes allowing it to offer a nurturing space for your horse.

Thank your animal for letting them share your ‘Soul Space’
